The Brussels Musical Instruments Museum (MIM), a world famous department of the Royal Museums of fine Arts, owns an interesting collection of historical oboes and related instruments. Of these western oboes after c.1650 exists no current public listing and only a small number is viewable in the public exhibition. This database wants to make detailed information about each single instrument available through the internet and thus accessible for a wide public. |
