Artistic Research Festival great success

Polyphonic Performance Spaces: artistic research in all its diversity

International experts presented on jazz analysis as practice while our Early Music department organized a day on performance practice build on extra-musical sources.

You could participate to workshops on contemporary composition, immerse yourself in Romantic piano performance, and relax in an ASMR meditation salon.

Our "19th-century Salon” offered a unique opportunity to record on wax rolls, and to close this research festival, Jessie Cox presented and worked on music as hyperdimensional technology.

Together with the Brussels Arts Platform, we would like to thank everyone who helped make the fifth edition of this festival possible.

Artistic research is an important part of the operations of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. As an institution we aim to support various talented researchers and provide them with opportunities to broaden their expertise in specific artistic fields.
The departmental research council of KCB is TROBADOR.
