DEADLINE Composition Competition Brussels Guitar Laboratory

The guitar department of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel invites Bachelor and Master students from all Belgian conservatories to take part in the Brussels Guitar Laboratory Composition Competition.

Candidates are asked to send in a five-to-seven-minute-long composition for duo or trio, of which at least one of the parts is written for classical guitar. 

A jury comprised of guitarists and composers will select a winning work. The composer of this winning work will receive a prize of 500 euro, and their composition will be performed by students of the KCB at the Six Strings Plus festival, which will take place between May 18 and 21, 2020. 

Submissions must be sent in by February 15, 2019.  Registration for the competition is free. Detailed instructions can be found in the competition rules.
