Dido & Aeneas | Opera Project

Who doesn’t get goosebumps from the haunting strains of Dido’s lament When I am laid in earth from Purcell’s masterpiece Dido & Aeneas? Experience the opera live, performed by the opera class of the KCB and the ensemble of the Early Music department, under the direction of Bart Naessens. Direction is by Elsina Jansen, known for her subtle work with actors and inventive imagery using minimal means. She has recently worked on productions such as La Bohème at Vaasa Opera in Finland and Così fan tutte with the Nederlandse Reisopera. Tragedy and passion come together in this opera. And beware: a ship may appear unexpectedly… and hearts are sure to be broken!
