Three conservatoires, one ensemble, one shared passion for wind music. Students from the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, KASK & Conservatorium Ghent and the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel come together for a unique musical project. At its heart is Elgar Howarth, the English composer, arranger, trumpeter and conductor whose work had a lasting impact on the development of modern wind music. His music and arrangements - including his celebrated orchestration of Modest Mussorgsky’s famous piano cycle Pictures at an Exhibition - are performed alongside works by composers including Simon Dobson and Edward Gregson. Led by Belgian conductor Luc Vertommen, these young musicians explore the power of collaboration, exchange and ensemble playing.
