White Nights

Postgraduate Recital Vocal Accompaniment of Daniela Rodó Aranda, piano, student of KCB professor Inge Spinette.

Inspired by White Nights, Dostoyevsky’s wistful short story, this repertoire explores the night, not just as a time of solitude, but as a space where emotions, memories, and hidden narratives quietly unfold beneath the surface.

The story follows a lonely dreamer who, during a few summer nights in St Petersburg, experiences an intense yet ephemeral connection with a young woman. The story captures the quiet beauty of nighttime, where solitude and longing intertwine with hope and the possibility of love, only to dissolve with the arrival of daylight.
