This concert by the KCB Wind Orchestra brings together vibrant works full of rhythm, colour and dance, performed by students of the Classical Music department. The programme pays special tribute to the Belgian composer Jan Van der Roost on the occasion of his seventieth birthday, with Amazonia as a central work in a broader musical journey across cultures and styles. Under the direction of José Rafael Pascual-Vilaplana, and with orchestral preparation by Yves Segers, the ensemble celebrates the richness and expressive power of wind music while honouring a composer whose work has left a lasting mark on the wind orchestra repertoire.
