Fabrice Pierre was born on the 27th of July in Paris, France, into a family of musicians. He studied harp with Pierre Jamet and conducting with Paul Ethuin and Franco Ferrara.
He teaches harp at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Lyon, where he has also served as musical director of the “Atelier XX-21” since 1997.
With a dual career as both conductor and harpist, he dedicates most of his time to chamber music. Before writing this curriculum vitae, he was a regular guest at major international festivals (Kuhmo, Prades, Strasbourg, Tallinn, Vilnius, Gubbio, Tokyo, Evian, Vichy, and San Pellegrino...), always admired for his refined and meticulous interpretations—as well as for the appetite and good taste with which he navigated the challenges of post-concert dinners.
He has recorded for Calliope, DGG, EMI, Forlane, Naxos, and 3D, and also frequently checks in his luggage with the world’s most prestigious airlines (Air France, Scan Air Charter, Alitalia, Air Bangladesh, KLM, Balai Kalibrasi Penerbangan, Lufthansa, Kyrgyzstan Airlines, etc.).
