Liang Dong, alumnus of KCB (The Flemish conservatoire located in Brussels), is a celebrated Chinese percussionist and Doctor of Musical Arts student at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatoire of Music, where he studies with Professor Rusty Burge. Known for his virtuosity and expressive depth, he has performed as a soloist across Europe and Asia, and will appear with the Cologne Symphony Orchestra in July 2025 under conductor Betin Günes.
Founder of Hemiola Cultural Media Co., Ltd. and the Qingyin Award, Liang promotes innovation and young talent in percussion. He has given masterclasses at leading institutions including the Central Conservatoire of Music and the Shanghai and Zhejiang Conservatoires.
A graduate with top honours from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, Liang has performed at major venues such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal. He is active as a soloist, educator and jury member, advancing cross-cultural dialogue in percussion worldwide.
