The Torch | Percussion concert

Celebrate 35 years of concerts, experimentation and sheer enjoyment with the KCB percussion students. Torch is more than a concert: it is both a festive look back and a leap into the future. After 35 years, percussion teachers Gert François and Bart Quartier are passing the torch to a new generation of percussionists. And they are ready to show what they can do.

Karlheinz Stockhausen, one of the great innovators of the twentieth century, shares the stage with contemporary composers such as Andy Akiho, Gene Koshinski, Alejandra Viñao and Bart Quartier. From Kontakte to Chinese opera, from marimba duo to Konnakol, the students take you on a journey through surprising styles, ensembles and musical worlds.

For whom is it €0? 
This event is free for children under the age of 12 years old. It is also free for employees and students of KCB, CrB, RITCS and EhB, they may bring a second person of their choice for free to introduce them to our wonderful institution. Be sure to bring the adequate proof of identity.

For whom is it €5?
We offer a discounted of €5 for seniors (+65), students from other institutions and groups of 10 or more. Be sure to bring the adequate proof of identity.

For whom is it €10?
All persons outside the categories mentioned above, will have to book a ticket at the price of €10.
