De Twintigers | 2026
In 2026, Radio Klara once again presents ten young musicians in De Twintigers. Now in its fifth edition, the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel is especially proud that no fewer than three of these rising talents are alumni of the institution. They had the opportunity to showcase their artistry in VRT’s Studio Toots.
Adinda Hertmans (voice, jazz) - Brussels
Jazz singer and composer Adinda Hertmans studied at the Royal Conservatories of The Hague and Brussels. With a highly distinctive timbre gentle, fragile, yet self-assured, she performs her own compositions during the Toots recording, together with her regular band members Wajdi Riahi, Fil Caporali, and Daniel Jonkers. Alongside Diederik Wissels at the piano, she improvises on pieces for which she writes her own lyrics. Adinda is considering furthering her studies in the United States next year.

Elly Brouckmans (saxophone, jazz) - Jette
After completing her degree in civil engineering, Elly began pursuing her true dream. She started her musical training at the Lemmens Institute and is graduating this year with a Master’s degree as a saxophonist at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. Together with Yarno Hoedemaekers, Umberto Odone, and Toon Rumen, she founded Mania, a quartet for which they compose their own music in a completely distinctive style. In this quartet, Elly plays alto saxophone, and she is also a much sought-after guest in several big bands with her baritone saxophone: she captivates listeners with her direct and profound musical communication.

Stan Geudens (Lute, Early music) - Antwerpen
At the age of 7, Stan began learning guitar. Ten years later, he decided to fully dedicate himself to historically informed performance practice. He has an excellent command of the theorbo and lute repertoire from French, Italian, and English Baroque music, which he complements with his own arrangements. He knows his instrument like few others, as well as all the techniques required to play it with great refinement, subtlety, ornamentation, expressive nuance, and sensitivity.
For years, Stan has been active in the professional circuit, performing with Hespèrion XXI, the Netherlands Bach Society, Il Pomo d’Oro, and A Nocte Temporis. During the Toots recording, he collaborated with gambist Layal Ramadan.
