KCB celebrates the end of the 2024-2025 academic year
Eindejaarsfeest KCB
After an academic year in which students, faculty and staff gave their best, it is nice to celebrate the end of 2024-2025 together in a playful way.
Moreover, many of our students and faculty are internationally active, so the summer holidays often mark a temporary farewell. The end-of-year party therefore provides a great opportunity to be together one last time.

A convivial finale organised by and for everyone from KCB
Hosting this day provides a convivial moment where all those who have a connection with KCB come together.
The alumni (2023-2024 graduates) were honoured by the heads of programmes during their proclamation in the concert hall of the Musical Instruments Museum (MIM). After the ceremony, they got a chance to catch up with their former professors and fellow students at the end-of-the-year celebration.

Lulu Aertgeerts becomes new director of the KCB

From September 2025, we welcome Lulu Aertgeerts as the new director of the Royal Brussels Conservatoire.
Lulu has been the driving force behind the Musical school for many years and is known for her connecting leadership and artistic vision. She succeeds Jan D'haene, who has led the KCB with great dedication.
Musical interpretation never fails to hit at KCB
The graduation ceremony was beautifully framed by a performance from AER CLAVE, student ensemble. As the celebration continued with two dynamic jazz bands: Charanga Band & Banda Bruselas, who brought rhythm, joy, and dancing to the evening. To round off the night, DJ KENZA delivered a vibrant closing set, ensuring the party ended on a high note.
