Changing Perspectives – Imagine new traditions

The 49th AEC Annual Congress and General Assembly 2022 took place on 9-12 November at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon (CNSMD), France, as well as online.

The event, entitled “Changing Perspectives – Imagine new traditions” gathered about 300 representatives from Higher Music Education Institutions (HMEIs), including staff and students, and international stakeholders.

KCB represented in Lyon

Representing the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, Nuno Cernadas, together with Payam Gul Susanni from Yasar University, presented the European Project MUSense (MUSic higher EducatioN meetS the cyber dimEnsion).

This project deals with fascinating issues centred on the convergence between music performance and the cyberspace, and promises some very exciting results, some of which will be presented in Izmir at Yasar University, in the coming multiplier event on December 12th and 13th.

The European Project MUSense

MUSense is to fill a gap, forging HE Music Institutions to embrace the digital shift and “stimulating innovative learning and teaching practices” in order to sustain and achieve new innovative performance practices and leverage the digital media potential.

Within the scope of the European Project MUSense (MUSic higher EducatioN meetS the cyber dimEnsion), of which the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel is a partner, the conference “New Frontiers in Music Performance” will be organized by Yaşar University. This conference will not only take place at the Yaşar University, but also online on our campus.
