Toots Thielemans Jazz Award & Concert | 17th edition @ Flagey

The Toots Thielemans Jazz Award is one of the most prestigious distinctions of KCB - Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. Each year, the award recognises the most outstanding master student(s) from the jazz department, who combine artistic maturity with a distinctive personal profile. Laureates receive a cash prize and the opportunity to perform at the Brussels Jazz Festival in Flagey. With this award, the conservatoire aims to encourage young jazz talent to give their best and lay the foundations for a future career. The late Toots Thielemans personally lent his name to this award. The presentation is made possible with the support of vzw Vriendenkring KCB.

For the second year in a row, the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award will take place during the prestigious Brussels Jazz Festival. We are grateful and thrilled that our laureate will perform at the heart of Brussels’ vibrant jazz scene, surrounded by an audience that appreciates both the rich tradition and the innovative spirit of jazz.
